Welcome to the course: Finance & Contemporary China. This course is designed for undergraduate students in finance or other business majors. However, if you never learned anything about finance and have great interests in it, this course will be a suitable study material to start with. 

As the entry-level study of finance, this course will introduce basic knowledge, theories and cases tightly related to our current world. It has 12 lectures. We will start with the introduction of the financial system, and then discuss a series of items that we already heard of from our daily life. For example, money, banks, stocks, bonds and so on. We will study these elements from the perspective of finance, and see how they serve in the financial system. 

Another mission of this course is to introduce the contemporary China. This course covers up-to-date knowledge, information, data and cases about China and its financial system. It will bring you a basic but comprehensive picture about China’s economy and financial development.
